The Canal and River
Trust (CRT) is the undertaker for 72 ‘large raised reservoirs’
(as per the Reservoirs Act 1975 definition) in England. They
have an average age of 195 years, ranging from Pebley Reservoir
at 238 year old, to the 123 year old Winterburn Reservoir.
